What is the purpose of barcodes?  Speed and accuracy are the biggest benefits of
using a barcode system.  You would not believe how many tags we find with a number
written incorrectly, illegibly (we understand, you've written that number a hundred times,
and it's 1 am!), or a digit is missing, etc.  When we are entering tags into the computer
after the sale, we spend hours trying to analyze handwriting or wondering, "is this a 0 or
just a funny looking 9":)  If you transpose two numbers, another consignor may get paid
for your item.  This won't happen with barcodes.  It will also allow us to quickly and
accurately scan in all sales and print checks very quickly!  No more waiting weeks for the
money you've earned and we know you need!

Will you be using the barcodes to checkout?  We hope to have barcode stations at
each checkout.

I've consigned with Sweet Repeats for many years, why do I need to register?  The
system we use, requires that each consignor for a sale register.  You will be considered
a "registered" consignor for the next sale only.  If you do not register for a sale, you are
still on our mailing list, and you will get notified of our next sale.  Your ID number should
not change.  After you register for the upcoming sale, you will be able to order your
barcodes and sign up for a volunteer shift if you choose.  You will not be able to consign
if you are not a registered consignor for that sale.

If I have been a past consignor, how do I register?  Your ID number, name and
address information was imported into this system.  All you have to do is register as a
returning consignor.  If you do not remember your ID number, click on the "Forgot your
Consignor Number or Password" link.   Your password is the last 4 digits of the phone
number you gave us when you signed up.  If we did not have your number, it is "nown"
(the last 4 letters in the word "unknown"). If the system cannot locate your information,
please email us at admin@sweetrepeats.biz or call 256-832-3064 and leave a
message.

Can I pick up my unsold items?  At the end of the sale, our volunteers sort all remaining
merchandise (with the exception of toys) back into consignor numbers.  It will be ready
for you to pick up on the scheduled pick-up day.
NEW FOR THIS YEAR: many of our
consignors prefer for their leftover items to be donated to very worthy charities; some
want a few particular "special" items back if they don't sell, but want the rest simply
GONE, if you DO WANT an item returned to you, you MUST put a red R in the top left
corner of your sales tag and circle it.  If a tag does not have this, it will not be ready for
pick-up and will be donated.  This will help prevent our volunteers from needlessly
sorting items that are to be donated.

What if I cannot come to the Consignor Sale at the time that is on my pass?  The
times are assigned according to the day that you drop off.  If you drop off on Thursday,
you have the freedom to shop at any time of the day on Consignor day.  Those who
drop-off on Friday or Saturday will be allowed in at the specified time later in the
afternoon.  We can make NO exceptions to this. It is not fair to the many consignors who
dropped off on Thursday. The times for shopping are listed with the drop off hours.  If
you know you cannot come later in the afternoon, please make every effort to drop off on
Thursday.

May I bring a guest with me?  One guest may come in with the consignor.  This does
not include young children.  This guest can be a spouse, parent, sister, or a friend who
wants to shop for herself.  It is totally up to you.  New or expecting moms often
appreciate this opportunity as they have nothing to consign!

I can't attend the Consignor Sale. May I give my pass to a friend?  Absolutely!

How should I price my items?  Try not to think of what you paid for it.  People are looking
for a bargain!  Think of what you would be willing to pay for it.  Price to sell, but don't use
yardsale prices.
