Instructions for Consignors
|
Becoming a Consignor If you are already registered for the upcoming sale and need to edit your information, log in to your consignor account here. Please make sure we have your email address. We will send reminders and updates via email.
Sweet Repeats consignors earn 2/3 of the selling price of their items, minus an $8 participation fee. Consignors set the price of their items and decide if they want an item to be discounted on the last day of the sale. Consignors are given a shopping pass that will allow the consignor and 1 guest to come to the Consignor Sale and shop before the public. The pass will specify the time they may enter the sale. This time is determined by the day the consignor dropped off. No exceptions can be made to this time schedule. The schedule is posted on the Home Page.
Consignors must carefully follow the instructions below when preparing their items.

***If you have barcodes left from last sale, please just throw those away. The sorting code on the tags will be different. We will be happy to print new ones for you! Thanks!
Basic tagging procedures will not change with the new system. This means that you can use tags you have already made, as long as they were made according to our past instructions. You will simply place your barcode sticker at the bottom of the card, write the size in the upper right corner, and place a red R in the upper left corner if you want your item returned. (see below for more details)
How to prepare your tags Cut the 3 x 5 cards in half so that the card is almost square (approx. 3 x 2.5) New: Since tags are not removed at check-out, if you prefer to leave your index cards whole and not cut them, that is up to you, just make sure the information and barcode are in the correct location on the card.
What to write on your tags
- In the upper LEFT corner, you will need to place a RED letter R only IF
you want the item returned to you if it does not sell. Please circle the R. Items without the R will not be sorted at the end of the sale and will not be ready to pick up. If you know that you do not want your items returned to you, don't put anything. If you would like only certain, special items returned, place an R on those, and nothing on the others. This will save our volunteers from hours of unnecessary work. Thanks!
- Write the size in the upper right corner. Do not use S, M, L. Compare it
to other garments and put a number size please.
- Write a description in the center of the tag. Why do I have to do
that?
- Decide what price you want to put on an item. and whether you want it
to be sold for 1/2 price at the end of the sale. Make a note of the price and discount choice in the bottom right corner of your tag. You will cover this with the barcode you receive from us later, but this will help you determine what barcodes to order and aide you in putting the correct barcode label on the correct tag. Once you have finished all of your tags, simply go through and make a list of how many barcodes at each price that you need to order. This barcode will have your price and ID number and 1/2 price option on it. Click here to order barcodes now.
- The barcode will show if an item will be discounted or not, but please
continue to write with red ink for no discount and other colors for items that may be discounted on the last day. This will minimize confusion for shoppers. Why do I have to do that?
Write your ID number only on a piece of masking tape or a label. Tape it inside or on other side of the item. Why do I have to do that?
How to hang your items Now, lay the item in front of you so that you are seeing the front. Hang the item on a metal hanger or sturdy, plastic hangers with the hanger hook facing and hooking left. The hanger looks like a question mark (?) Use a safety pin to attach the tag on the right hand side of the item (If you were actually wearing it, the tag would be on your left (over your heart). If you are looking at it, the tag is on the right.) Why do I have to do that?

This is how your items should look when on the hanger. Also,
note how the jeans are hung with large safety pens on the
slanted part of the hanger! This will help the pants from sliding
awkwardly to one side. Another great tip-save safety pins and
bend your hanger slightly and thread through 2 belt loops on
back of pants! Try it, it works great!

tag with barcode.
See the extra pieces in the
ziploc bag which is taped to
the toy. Also, each ball is
labeled with the ID number.

barcode.
Tags should be pinned or taped
(with packing tape) on the ziploc
bags. Remember to use a small
piece of masking tape with your ID
# on each shoe. This helps us
match pairs that may have been
separated. Do not just drop tag in
bag. If shoes cannot fit into a
ziploc bag, please secure shoes
together with a zip-tie, a pin,
strong string, etc.
Special Instructions for Non-clothing items
Toys
** No stuffed animals will be allowed**
Follow the directions given above for making a tag.
Secure all loose pieces in a ziplock bag or similar container.
We suggest putting a piece of masking tape with your ID number on anything that might
become separated. However, DO NOT PUT TWO INDEX CARD PRICE TAGS!
Making sure the item has new batteries will be very helpful in selling your item. Otherwise,
people will not know that the toy still works.
The index card is best secured with packing tape not masking tape.
Unsold toys will not be returned, but instead will be donated immediately following the end
of our public sale dates. Large toys such as StepTwo, PowerWheels, etc... will be
returned.
Shoes
Follow the directions given above for making a tag.
Place a piece of masking tape with your ID number on both shoes. Again, this is for your
protection! You wouldn't believe how many times we are unable to sell a pair of shoes
because they've lost their tag and we do not know who to credit the sale to. The masking
tape and ID number solve this problem easily.
Place the pair of shoes in a ziploc bag if possible. It is also helpful for the shoes to be fastened
together with a zip-tie, ribbon, etc.
Furniture and Large Toys
Follow the directions given above for making a tag.
DO NOT USE TWO PRICE TAGS! With large items, shoppers will often remove the price
tag in order to pay without bringing the item through checkout. A huge problem arises if
there are two tags- then two people may try to buy the same item. You may put as many
pieces of masking tape ID numbers as you like, but use only ONE PRICE TAG!
Secure the tag on the item with packing tape.

Supplies Needed
3T
Barcode label
displays price, ID
number, 1/2 price
option, & barcode.
If your tag does not have the
red R your item will not be
sorted for pick-up. If you want
to pick up your item, you must
put the R in the upper left
corner.
Due to the difficulty of finding metal hangers, we will now allow sturdy, plastic hangers to be used.
